Giving it a rest...

Much prayer and study has lead me to let this dog lie dormant for a time. This was my place to specifically explore the aspects of my faith that did not seem to reconcile with scripture. It did not work out as I thought it might, but I wouldn't say there was nothing accomplished. My concept of grace has grown - without dismissing other truths. I think being witness to a movement, apparently founded on a profound knowledge of grace, rip itself to shreds has made me content to remain in one that builds one another up - even if they aren't as "enlightened."

Regarding salvation and how to share it with others, it's like no one reads the book of Acts. {sigh}

If you're interested in following up on me - as an individual, not a target - please feel free to visit me at my journal-blog, Texas Chilly. I will not be discussing much theology there - Christ for sure, prayer most definitely, but no doctrine.

God bless you.

"rip itself to shreds"

I understand where you are coming from Missy. I appreciate you and your heart in this area.

Your friend, Bob

Much better to do righteousness than to be right, me thinks. ;-)

We love ya Sis!

Thanks, guys. Y'all are still on my reading list. Bob, 'cause you talk about it all, and KC, 'cause you don't talk about anything. ;)

Me thinks KC ran off to be a pirate. hehe.

Alway remember and never forget that there are plenty of self proclaimed theologs "out there" who will take it upon themselves to set you straight on whatever the current issue is.

Joe, haha! Yes, I tend to ask more questions than have answers. I've found there are an endless supply of those that will offer answers.

Missy,

As you know, Dr. Lybrand's reply here is critical to a great many of us who have witnessed and participated in this debate as it raged over the years. I know you are a gracious lady and, as such, you honored Dr. Lybrand’s request to remove that reply. I mean no offense to either of you but I have reproduced both your original question and his reply made here in the continued discussion at the Free Grace Theology site and I intend to do so at my site with commentary.

No offense taken, KC. I did as Dr. Lybrand requested out of respect and etiquette. As you know, I trust your wisdom and graciousness immensely. I am certainly interested in further commentary on those feeble thoughts of mine - as that was originally my purpose for posting them. :)

Sis you're too kind! I think you know we're eye to eye on this topic and I appreciate your permission to use your comment. I am going to try and present some background and foundational material first.
